I have added a new sub-forum where every post will go into, which brings up questions/ theories already discussed on this site / in the fora.

Any topic with a tail that grows beyond a certain amount of chit chat posts will go to chit-chat (strating from the post that started the chit-chat).

Late changes

1) OK, since matrix-explained.com is getting more and more traffic it slowed down the board a bit (because the bandwidth was throttled). I have un-throttled it now.

2) I have added some new smilies

3) Maximum 4 smilies per post. That'll show them kids

4) Multiple exclamation marks will be melted to a single one. The same applies to question marks. That'll show them kids #2

5) Signatures of a poster are shown only in the first post on a page (= only 1 time)

6) Default Board Layout SubBlack: All pictures are set to width=100 (including pictures within signatures). This prevents them to distort the forum layout
*Click -> resize to 100%
*Doubleclick -> downsize to 100 pixels
*Click the colored area right of them -> resize to 100% of the board layout

My site is moving to a faster server (within minutes/hours). I need to shutdown the forum (readable yes, writable no), so no post gets lost.

I have increased the allowed number of messages in your "Private Messaging Inbox" to 200.

The max. possible number of emails in your save box has been increased to 600. That makes 800 storable emails for everybody and should be ebough for a while.

The signature length has been increased from 100 to 150 characters.

I have corrected an error in the forum software that prevented posters to have the signature displayed.

Now a signature is displayed for _any_ user who has a signature defined. But the old rule applies that 1 sig is displayed only 1 time per page per user (= the user's second post on any given page doesn't display any signature).
